  Iraqi Journal of Biotechnology was founded in 2001, it was first issued in 2002, it is a semi-annual refereed scientific journal issued by the Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology for Postgraduate Studies in University of Baghdad in fields of biology, environment, agricultural sciences, medicine and researches specialized in bioinformatics.
