The first edition of 16th volume of the Iraqi Journal of Biotechnology was published in the first of February 2017, issued by the Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology for post Graduate Studies, The number contains twelve research papers in different fields of genetic engineering and many links enabled genes with some cancers as breast cancer and lung in the a sample of Iraqi patients. Some research dealing with the use of modern methods in the molecular diagnosis of virulent factors  related to bacteria and fungi that  may  associated with  pathogenesis  of  cancers ,As well as other topics related to the use of modern biotechnologies in the diagnosis of genes expression  related to infertility  in men and the levels of some hormones in a relations  .
