The first issue of the eighteenth volume of the year 2019 for the Iraqi Journal of Biotechnology was published. The issue included eleven papers with an editorial on the role of hormonal in ambiguous patients. The second study dealt with detection of the effect of smoking and age on the level of total antioxidant capacity and DNA damage in people exposed to low levels of ionizing radiation. Other researches dealt with molecular detection of antibiotic-resistant bacteria, another research on DIO2 polymorphism and its relationship to some productive traits and efficiency in local Awassi sheep.
